Anaphylaxis Awareness Level 2 (VTQ)
About the Course
Anaphylaxis is a dangerous allergic reaction that can be life-threatening. And in the UK, 2.1 million people have food allergies or food intolerances! 5% of children and 1-2% of adults suffer from food allergies. It's even more prevalent in young children who tend to eat more foods than adults, so they're at greater risk of developing an allergy to certain foods.
That's why it's important to know what you're allergic to, so you can avoid those foods when possible and take care when eating out with friends or family members who are eating the same things as you are.
Join our Anaphylaxis awareness course today and learn how to remain safe when accidentally exposed to a food allergen. We teach participants about recognising symptoms of an allergic reaction, what medical treatment is appropriate for different scenarios and how individuals can prepare themselves before being exposed to foods that could cause an adverse reaction.
