About the Course
This course will explain the consequences of food allergies and food intolerances, how to control cross-contamination, how to read food labels, communicate to the public about food allergens and the implication of manufacturers' dates on the sale of packaged foods, Understand the characteristics and consequences of food allergies and food intolerances.
The course will cover the following modules:
Describe the procedures to control cross-contamination from allergenic ingredients
Demonstrate how to read food labels and identify foods containing food allergens
Review the changes to food labelling affecting the sale of prepacked food for direct sale (PPDS)
Describe the procedures to communicate allergen information to customers and other consumers accurately
